In his Apostolic Letter proclaiming the Year of Faith (October 11, 2012-November 24, 2013), Pope Benedict XVI wrote:
The “door of faith” (Acts 14.27) is always open for us, ushering us into the life of communion with God and offering entry into his Church.
It is possible to cross that threshold when the word of God is proclaimed
and the heart allows itself to be shaped by transforming grace.
To enter through that door is to set out on a journey that lasts a lifetime.
Inspired by the words of our Holy Father, we have chosen this Division theme for the 2012-2013 academic year in Evergreen Catholic Schools :
Enter through the door of faith.
When Paul and Barnabas arrived in Antioch, they called the church together and related all that God had done with them,
and how he had opened a door of faith for the Gentiles.
